Q. Where is the vacation house located?

A. The house is located in Wilmington, Vermont. It is in the southern most part of the state, approximately 2.5 hours from Boston and 4 hours from New York City. Although it is located in a secluded woody area, it is only a few miles stores and restaurants. Click here to see 2 maps. MAPS

Q. Can I rent for just a weekend in the summer?

A. No, we rent out by the week only during the summer. The summer is a very popular time to rent the house and it is fairly easy to fill up the whole summer. It is not a good use of the space to rent it for weekends, as it would be likely that we will find someone who will want to rent it for the whole week. During other seasons we are willing to rent it for weekends in addition to full weeks.

Q. Why is it better to contact you by email rather than by phone?

A. Most importantly, you will get a quicker response from me. I can check my email from anywhere, even when at the office, or on a business or vacation trip. In addtion, the reservation information is on the computer so I can let you know right away if the time you are interested in is open, and email you back a registration form with my reply. All of this will make it more likely that you, and not someone else, gets the dates you want.

Q. Do I have to bring my own bath towels, sheets, blankets and pillows?

A. No, we have all of these at the house. However if you choose to use our sheets and towels, we do ask that you wash them before you leave.


Q. Can I bring my pet? Can I have more than 10 people stay at the house? Is smoking allowed?

A. NO PETS are allowed at any time. Members of our family are very allergic to pets, so no matter how well behaved they are, you cannot bring them. The maximum occupancy allowed at the house is 10 persons. NO SMOKING is allowed at the property.
